Frequently asked questions

One-sentence answers, with detail underneath where it helps.

Where does TAXII operate?

On Ngazidja (Grande Comore), in Moroni and across the island's eight regions.

Can the price go up during the ride?

No. The price shown before you order is what you pay: there is no meter and no automatic peak-hour or bad-weather surcharge.

Do I need an email address or a password?

No. A phone number and a one-time SMS code are enough, for passengers and drivers alike.

How do I pay?

In cash to the driver, or with prepaid TAXII ride credit; credit cannot be withdrawn as money.

Can I book ahead?

Yes. A booking locks the price and is offered to drivers at the requested time.

What is the difference between shared and private?

Shared means you pay per seat and travel with others; private means the vehicle is reserved for your group.

Inside Moroni a shared seat is 350 KMF and a private ride 1,300 KMF — see the prices page.

Can I pay for a relative's rides from abroad?

Yes. From the diaspora you can top up a relative's ride credit on Ngazidja, or a driver's reserve.

Is it safe?

Drivers are identified, the vehicle's make, model, colour and plate appear on arrival, and the ride can be shared on WhatsApp.

Which languages are available?

French, English, Arabic and Shikomori.
